very nice and welcoming i have been to many restaurants in my life but this is by far the best . Amazing service and fabulous food (i recommend the steak) i am definitely looking forward to visiting again soon . Thank you

Delicious authentic Portuguese food Gorgeous Portuguese food and fantastic customer service. A clean, well presented restaurant and reasonably priced for the quality of the food and wine. Management were beyond friendly and I even tried out some of my Portuguese language with the manager. We will certainly return.

What a FANTASTIC restaurant! The food is incredible and the service an easy 10 out of 10. We had the most wonderful evening at The Algarve, it truly was an authentic Portuguese dining experience. The owner is passionate about the food he serves and for the quality of the food, it really is fantastic value for money. Oh, and don't forget to ask for a shot or two of the delicious home brewed cherry liqueur!

A taste of Portugal in Potters Bar We had a lovely dinner at Algarve last night. We have travelled extensively throughout Portugal and this restaurant really encapsulates many of our dining experiences from there. Service was impeccable and the whole evening was a dining experience. It took my partner half an hour to decide what to eat as there were so many options. Fresh fish and beautiful steak. Can't fault it. We will return so we can try some of the other dishes on the menu.

A Touch of the Med locally Excellent quality food and great service. Well done to the new owner for bringing a classy new restaurant to Potters Bar. Fish dishes were beautifully cooked and presented. Would recommend the prawn starters and octopus mains.

taste of portugal Four of us had a delicious lunch at The Algarve restaurant a weekday (thursday) very good service and excellent food plus the added advantage of a discount ,we were all very satisfied with the excellent meal, lots of fish on the menu, will return.

Excellent Highly recommended! This is a delightful local restaurant - excellent food, brilliant and attentive service... great decor and atmosphere. My second visit and can’t wait to go back again!

Excellent food & service by friendly owner! My wife and I went to Algarve Restaurant a couple of weeks ago with my cousin who is Spanish but passes for Portuguese as she has lived there for many years. We all very much enjoyed the excellent food from the dinner menu. The owner is friendly and very knowledgeable. They make their own bread too. I'm going back later today to try their lunch menu with some Portuguese cousins. I would say it's easily the best restaurant right now in Potters Bar!
